This great value external dual-disk RAID drive is great for those needing performance and data safety. Using the disk in its RAID 1 Mirror configuration will give you 1TB of capacity, with your data automatically being written to both disks at the same time. If a disk failed, then your data would be safely held, and can still be accessed, on the other disk drive.

Other dual disk configurations are also possible by changing switches on the rear of the enclosure. Please note that your data is lost when you switch between different RAID modes, so it must be set before you start adding data.

This product is aimed at PC users with eSATA or USB 2.0 ports. You will get significantly faster performance using eSATA. If your PC motherboard has SATA disk connectors, but not external eSATA ports then we can supply a PCI adaptor plate with an eSATA port that connects through to a motherboard SATA connector.
