Description

This TOP QUALITY external dual-disk RAID network drive is aimed at those who don't want to compromise when it comes to their data. With fast reliable disks and Gigabit networking, you have everything you need for an office shared server, for media or documents.

Using the free iPhone/iPad or Android app, you can access the server either through Wifi (in the home) or over your 3G phone connection (when out the home). You can save photos immediately over the internet back to the server.  You can browse/play your photos, videos or music that is on the server on your phone.

Uses very latest Seagate Barracuda disk to deliver new levels of hard drive data density, capacity and reliability.  These disks are fast but use less power and generate less noise and heat than previous generations.

This product works wonderfully with any PC or Mac.

The Network disk is administered using a web interface from a PC or Mac. Out of the box it has a public shared folder, but you can add user specific folders, and set up an FTP server, iTunes server and BitTorrent client. You can access an online manual from here.

Measured performance between this unit and a Windows 7 PC over a 1 Gigabit network:

Copying folders of MP3 music... Write: 15MB/s, Read: 22MB/s

Copying DVD Video files... Write: 17 MB/s, Read: 31 MB/s

The whole product has a 2 year warranty, that includes everything - the disk enclosure, disk drive and power adaptor.

Software: CDROM supplied to run a setup program which discovers the NAS on your network, and enables you to configure its network address. All administration is performed using a web browser
